Notification plug-in that plays an audible alarm through a simple HTTP API, e.g. on a TV, workstation or a dedicated alarm box in the operations room.

On every service notification with a non-OK state, the plug-in calls {proto}://{host}/{url}?alarm=FILE.mp3 on the configured backend, which then plays the selected sound. Tested with a small PHP backend on XAMPP / Windows 11.

Configurable via notification rule "Play alarms (using API)":

• Protocol (http/https), backend host and API path
• Alarm sound (alarm1 - alarm4, horse)

Note: Only service notifications trigger an alarm. The HTTP backend is not part of this package.
