title: Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: Backup of a machine
agents: acronis_backup
catalog: cloud/acronis
license: GPLv2
distribution: none
description:
This check reports whether the Acronis backup of a machine ran cleanly. The
data is fetched by the special agent {agent_acronis_backup} from the Acronis
Cyber Protect Cloud API and assigned to the machines as piggyback data.

The check is {OK} if a backup plan is applied, the last successful backup is
not older than the configured levels (default: 36 hours / 3 days) and the
most recent finished run of every backup plan ended without warnings. Runs
of application backups (SQL, Exchange) count for the machine of the agent.
Several Acronis resources with the same host name, for example a server
that is registered with an agent and as a virtual machine, are combined.

It is {WARN} if the most recent run finished with warnings or was cancelled,
and {CRIT} if it failed, was abandoned or timed out, if there never was a
successful backup, or if no backup plan is applied to the machine any more.
These states can be changed with the rule {Acronis backup}, which also
holds the settings of the service {Acronis Backup Summary}.

discovery:
One service is created for each machine that has a backup plan applied.
