title: CMDB Syncer: Event Driven Ansible events
agents: cmdb_syncer
catalog: app/cmdb_syncer
license: GPLv2
distribution: check_mk
description:
This check monitors the Event Driven Ansible (EDA) events a CMDB Syncer
installation sends, queried via the CMDB Syncer special agent from the
endpoint syncer/eda. It shows whether events are sent again and again
 without effect.

An event streak starts when a host matches an EDA Event Rule and counts
every send of that event. It ends when the host no longer gets the event.
A streak that is still open after the repeat threshold of its EDA account
is repeating, a streak whose last send was rejected is failing.

By default the check becomes WARN with one repeating event and CRIT with
ten, and CRIT as soon as one event is failing. Levels on repeating events,
hosts with repeating events, rejected events in the last 24 hours and the
most sends of a single event, as well as the state for failing events, can
be configured via the rule "CMDB Syncer Event Driven Ansible".

The counters per EDA account and the repeating events (host, event, rule,
sends, failures, last status) are listed in the details. The check becomes
CRIT if the API request fails. Syncer versions without Event Driven Ansible
answer 404, then no service is discovered.

discovery:
One service is created if fetching EDA events is enabled in the special
agent rule and the Syncer offers the endpoint.
